Just one look at the key ingredients that concoct this sport has me salivating with excitement. Firstly you have a global giant of the car world such as Honda breaking away from the hatchback market and producing nearly 1,000bhp in a car that weighs less than the original Mini. Secondly this outlandish performance is put in the trust of 20 of the most skilled drivers on the planet, who are only ever 2-3 seconds away from a high speed shunt. Thirdly, the races take place in the most exotic locations around the world, including: Bahrain, Monaco, Brazil, Australia and Singapore. Why oh why then is it so dull? As a child I'd drag myself out of bed at 3am just to watch a Friday practice, before repeating the feat for Saturday qualifying and Sunday race day. I knew all the drivers statistics, why rear down force shouldn't be an issue around the Hockenheim circuit and the past winners of the championship for 50 years. Much like a lot of the population I've tired in recent years of no overtaking, the same winners and consistent rule changes that try and fail to re-ignite excitement. Michael Schumacher was the greatest driver in the history of the sport but his constant winning also destroyed my love for it. Then there was the tobacco sponsorship ban of a few years ago. Such a furore was made over banning the cancer-givers that the sport's focus was lost. So what that I fancied a cigarette after watching 'Marlboro' on Schumacher's car cross the winning line again, the advertising really wasn't the root of the problem Formula One was suffering. Not content with banning cigarettes, overtaking had to be improved (or at least occur once in a race). So cars were slowed down and made more difficult to drive. The result? The best drivers were still in the fastest cars and could cope far better than the weaker drivers already in cars to suit their abilities. The emergence of Lewis Hamilton last year has certainly gone some way to undo the monotony of the now-retired Schumacher era. Not only is he the first black driver in Formula One, but he's super-quick - if a bit erratic. Problem is that even if we overlook the unsolved overtaking problem, the President of the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) Max Mosley's sexual preferences, constant rule changes and Lewis's efforts to promote the sport, there's one massive problem that looms like an Eagle over its prey - global warming. With the Earth dying thanks to mankind's greed it seems everyone from every walk of life is being encouraged to recycle, use less energy and travel using green transport. I guess doing four miles to the gallon at 200mph every other weekend, with hundreds of articulated lorries, private jets and motor homes in tow doesn't quite reflect that Formula One is listening. Well maybe Honda has got the hint with their 'Earth' car from the 2007 season. Sponsorship free and painted with the planet Earth on it, Honda sold every pixel on its livery with each donation helping towards climate change. This season's car has continued with promoting the dangers of climate change in a more subtle manner and once again no sponsorship - wise when you consider the car was previously run by BAT - British American Tobacco. Ok so you like Formula One, you love Honda, support Jenson Button (although you agree he's not much cop) and therefore want to reflect this in your everyday life - whilst saving the planet. The answer is a simple three words - Honda Civic Hybrid. Yep Honda has produced an eco-friendly car that doesn't need plugging into the wall, look stupid or cost the earth. The Honda Hybrid looks like any other saloon which when you consider the stylings of most electric or hybrid cars is a major plus point. Road Tax in the United Kingdom is stupidly expensive so having to fork out a mere £15 a year for driving the Civic Hybrid is probably all the encouragement you'll need to buy one. The other justification for buying one is that other than great fuel economy thanks to the electric motor doing a fair proportion of the work, it's actually a good drive. Yes it's not a 0-60mph monster but every other aspect is as you'd expect from a car from the Civic range - it's a main contender in the green race. So there you have it, buy a Honda Hybrid and watch Formula One guilt free. Now if Jenson could just overtake someone…

Related:
Honda Civic 2009

Will Hydrogen Cars Replace Hybrid Cars? : New honda hybrid gas cars 2008

Will Hydrogen Cars Replace Hybrid Cars?
by Wendy Gorman

Wouldn't you just know it, just as the Hybrid Car begins to make its presence felt as the saviour of tomorrows motorist (and the world) along comes another young pretender to the throne - The hydrogen fuelled car. Some people say that hydrogen cars will have pure refeshment water on tap. We shall see, in theory it could happen with a Hydrogen Car but they are way behind the Hybrid Car in their development program and forecasting is impossible. Hydrogen cars do however, have the potential to be better cars than Hybrid Cars in several ways so we need to compare their known characteristics.
Hydrogen cars use a chemical reaction rather than a burning process for motive power
Conventional cars burn fossil fuel and Hybrid Cars use smaller amounts of the same fuel to charge their batteries. Hydrogen Cars do not use fossil fuel at all. Instead Hydrogen Cars depend upon a chemical reaction between Hydrogen and Oxygen that produces a lot of energy plus pure water residue - a completely pollution free process. Hence the earlier reference to water on tap in Hydrogen cars. It is not possible for Hybrid Cars to achieve the same thing without breaking the Laws of Chemistry.
The reaction process in Hydrogen Cars produces up to three times the energy output from the equivalent gasoline based process in conventional and hybrid cars.
Hydrogen fuel burns both hotter and faster than fossil based fuel and is therefore much more efficient. In theory therefore it should be possible to design Hydrogen Cars that canreach incredible speeds with as yet unrealised acceleration compared to Hybrid Cars. There is simply no way that Hybid Cars, dependent as they are (in all their forms) on battery power, will be able to compete on this level.
The question arises "Is the hydrogen car concept for real?
Many people believe that Hybrid Cars reflect reality much more than Hydrogen Cars do. Hybrid Cars exist on our roads now and have already cut pollution emmissions by some 30% to 50%. Why then do we need to indulge in a possible flight of fancy such as the Hydrogen Car by investing vast sums of money to try to achieve the impossible?
The Hydrogen used in Hydrogen Cars is defined as a fuel carrier. It is not considered to be a fuel source in itself.
Indeed, it is hoped by some proponents of this type of fuel process, that in the future it will be possible to produce hydrogen with the use of such sources as wind power and other renewable energy sources. That means that hydrogen has to be produced from other sources. And people are hoping that hydrogen will be able to be produced from things such as wind power or other types of renewable sources. Right now, it looks like all we have is natural gas. That is the most efficient way to get hydrogen. And if that's the case, then there's no need to make hydrogen cars. Hybrid cars already cut down on how much gas people use. Who needs hydrogen cars that may end up costing us more in natural gas?
It will be hard create a lot of stations to fuel hydrogen cars
People are saying there is an overwhelming amount of challenges when it comes to creating the multitudes of hydrogen fueling stations that would be needed if millions of people suddenly started owning hydrogen cars. Hybrid cars use gas. And we already have gas stations.
But president Bush has made it clear that he wants hydrogen cars to be on the roads in significant numbers by the year 2020. So it seems that those who oppose hydrogen cars might just have to hold their breath and see if hydrogen cars actually live up to the lofty promises people associate with them. If they don't live up to their promises, people will probably start running back to hybrid cars in droves. And that's not too bad. Hybrid cars or hydrogen cars, one of them is going to get us to cleaner air.

Recomment

http://tour-thai.net
http://tourrayong.com
http://chiangmaitour.org
http://phukettour.org
http://chanthaburitour.com
http://rayongtour.net
http://samedtour.org

Hydrogen For Cars : New honda hydrogen hybrid cars 2009

Hydrogen For Cars
by wordpressblogforlife
Hydrogen for cars ? What do you think of when you see the term "hydro powered car?" Do you imagine a car that uses water instead of petrol as fuel? You should think of a hydro powered car and think of something slightly different, a cross between all hydrogen for cars and one that somehow uses water as fuel. These types of car famously call as a car that runs on water.
The idea of using water or hydrogen for cars directly as fuel is still in children science fiction. On the face of it, the idea seems ridiculous. Yet today you can buy hydro powered car kits that use the hydrogen as fuel (to supplement the petrol) in standard automobiles, resulting in much higher mileage.
Hydrogen For Cars
What the relation between hydrogen and water? You should understand this before read all the entire article. Hydrogen is one component in molecule of water. Molecule of water is H2O. H is for hydrogen and O for oxygen. That's why this hydrogen for cars is said to use water as fuel.
Why Should You Care?
This kind of hydrogen for cars definitely isn't the futuristic all-hydrogen automobile you may have heard about, or the apparently mysterious vehicle that runs on just tap water that we would all love to have. So why should you mind about this kind of hydrogen-petrol hydro powered car? There are lots of good reasons:
If you've buy petrol lately, you know that the price is high and become highest in this year. Hydrogen for cars can get much higher mileage than an all-petrol car, which means big reserves on gas.
Petrol comes with lots of baggage. The West's dependence on overseas oil makes it reliant on countries like Iraq and Iran. Anything that reduces Western addiction on their oil reduces the risks. That's why hydrogen for cars concept is important to American.
The sad information is that Americans did not enough information about hydrogen for cars concept. Most basically don't live in place where another option of fuels is readily available. Don't forget toxic waste. Burning petrol for fuel pollutes the air. Hydrogen for cars concept gets better mileage and so reduces that effluence.
How Does This Kind of Hydrogen for Cars Work?
How can water, the same material that comes from your kitchen tap, be used to fuel your automobile engine? The key is hydrogen. What is water when you go down to the molecular structure? Two parts hydrogen and one part oxygen. Get the hydrogen out of the water and mix it with your car's petrol and voila! Hydrogen for cars concept have been established
Hydrogen for cars that use hydrogen is a highly advantageous resource of fuel because it delivers lots of power and burns with almost no pollutants. But hydrogen for cars concept that run solely on hydrogen aren't geared up yet and won't be realistic for a while. Using hydrogen as a supplemental fuel like use in hydrogen for cars concept is a safe and sound and efficient alternative that's offered right now.
Hydrogen for cars kits available today use electricity to exchange regular water into hydrogen and oxygen in your car as needed. The hydrogen is instantaneously mixed with the car's petrol and burned, delivering superior fuel effectiveness and cleaner exhaust. It is an ultimate answer for today's world, and thousands of communities around the world have purchased these kits to adapt their own vehicle into hydrogen for cars concept.

Honda CBR1100XX - Super Blackbird : New honda 2009 model review

Honda CBR1100XX - Super Blackbird
by Insure
MyRide There is something just so utterly intoxicating about the way Honda's Super Blackbird blends such enormous raw power with such velvety-smooth refinement. By rights, 152 claimed horses - which still equates with over 130bhp at the rear wheel - should make the 223kg Blackbird a big handful, yet somehow Honda's wizards have managed to break those horses, and train them to perform a synchronized ballet that would be the envy of Spain's famed dancing stallions… Then there's the fact that some 10 years after its introduction, the Blackbird is still on the pace despite receiving very little in the way of modifications or upgrades. Released late in 1996, the CBR1100XX went from carburettors to electronic fuel injection in 1999, and then received a catalytic converter and updated headlights, instruments and screen in 2001 - throw in the odd change in colour scheme here and there, and the Blackbird has really undergone very little in the way of tinkering. And really, why would it? Pointing the bike down Victoria's Great Ocean Road recently, it showed it can still hold its head high, with a formula that really hasn't dated since its inception. The Blackbird's turbine-like four-cylinder engine develops big torque and big power, with crisp fuel injection that places both at your beck and call. There are no flat spots to speak of, in fact there's nothing but bulk oomph pretty much throughout its entire rev range, from just off idle to its indicated 10,750rpm redline. On the road this translates to a pure delight, although it's perhaps not as involving as other less-powerful machines, as even on a road with quite a variation of turns you can simply pick a gear and stick with it. The Blackbird was the world's fastest production bike when it first hit the streets, a mantle it retained for over two years until Suzuki introduced the GSX1300R Hayabusa in May of 1999. While it's not quite as strong as the 'Bus or Kawasaki's ZX-14 or even ZX-12R, there's still plenty here to keep you entertained, and you'll need to watch that right wrist like a hawk if you want any chance of retaining your license… Stopping is a particularly important issue on a bike like this, and the twin-disc, three-piston Nissins are right on the money. Honda's Dual Combined Brake System (DCBS) is employed, which won't please everyone but will be appreciated by others. If you're not looking to break lap records at Phillip Island, it shouldn't be an issue - and if you are you should really be looking for something lighter anyway, like a Fireblade. The suspension, though relatively low-tech, does a beautiful job, but tends towards the plusher end of the spectrum, at least in terms of sportier hardware. The 'Bird's on the money in the comfort stakes too, with a firm but supportive seat, a good screen and slippery bodywork to allow you to scythe through the air. Those on the tall side may find legroom a bit wanting, but there's still enough there to ensure multi-day tours will still be on the agenda, aided further by the 'Bird's optional factory panniers ($1750). So what exactly is the Blackbird's focus? At 223kg (dry) it's too heavy to be a pure sportsbike, yet it's too fast and has too sporty a ride position to be a true tourer. Really, it's a power-packed all-rounder and a hyper-tourer on the open road - provided you can find roads on which you can actually explore its potential (try Germany). But even at legal speeds, that engine will always see you coming back for more. Happy birthday Blackbird - may your reign in the Honda stable continue for many years more. But what if there was a way to save money on gas, big money? There is and it's done with a little help from water. Did you know that there is technology you can use to almost completely run your car on water now? There is and it can save you a ton of money on gas every month. This technology can teach you how to make your own low-cost hybrid car that runs on water and gas. It is necessary for us to look for other alternatives as the price of crude oil and gas is soaring high. Now the question arises whether a car can really run on water mixed gas. The researchers are doing a research on this and they claim that it is possible to run a car on water mixed gas. They say that with the addition of certain quantity of water with gas it is possible to make a fuel that can meet a common man's expectations. However it needs a slight modification in the engine by adding on small equipment that will serve the demand of the new fuel. According to the research if a small quantity of water is added to petrol, diesel or gasoline with the addition of necessary additives, the water gets mixed with the conventional fuel and can act as an effective fuel for the vehicles. This new fuel will not only reduce the cost but also reduce the pollution and will protect the environment. As we cannot ignore the fact that water causes rust to the steel and other parts of the engine that are made up of iron and steel, so chemicals that prevent water from causing rust to the steel, must be added to the fuel. If the car runs on the water gas fuel, it will not only enhance the performance of the car but also minimize carbon deposits in piston and skirts will reduce sludge and varnish formation. Not only this, it will also reduce the engine temperature, due to the presence of water in the fuel. Also, the car will act itself as a catalytic converter if it gets water gas as a fuel. It is advantageous to run a car on water gas but the water and gas ratio should be optimized and proper chemicals called additives should be added so that water does not remain in free form, as it may cause rust to the steel parts of the engine. This effective process requires the help of experts, as we alone cannot get this process done. By using this technology you can literally save over $1,000 a year as a sole driver. The more drivers you have, the more you will save. If you own a company with a fleet of trucks, say 50, your looking at a savings of over $50,000 a year!

Can You Really Use WATER for GAS? : New Honda Hybrid new cars 2009

Can You Really Use WATER for GAS?
by Derek Wray
With gas prices well over $4.00 a gallon and predicted to go over $6.00 a gallon, it was only a matter of time before people started searching for ways to increase their gas mileage. As I was researching ways to increase gas mileage, I learned about a relatively unknown way to significantly increase any car's gas mileage by using water to supplement the fuel with hydrogen for a better fuel burn. However, the idea of running your car on water sounded absurd so I was skeptical about this "simple technology" These are just some of the claims made: Water fuel will enable your vehicle to become at least 40% more fuel efficient. Water fuel will boost performance while producing cleaner emissions. You can receive IRS refunds owed to you by law for using green technology in your vehicle! 100% safe/legal - guaranteed! Works with plain tap water Enjoy incredible fuel savings. Could this be real or just another internet scam... This is what I discovered. Will running your car on water really work? Well, not exactly. Your car will still use gas as it's primary source of combustion. You will be supplementing that fuel with hydrogen. What you are going to be doing with Water Fuel technology is creating an extremely cost-effective hydrogen powered hybrid (Water Hybrid) by taking advantage of the atomic constituents of water molecules, hydrogen and oxygen (H2O). The conversion to a water hybrid uses inexpensive parts that you can find at any local hardware store such as Home Depot or Lowes. When setup, a small amount of power is used from your car's battery to seperate the water molecules into HHO gas. This gas is then fed into the intake of your vehicle creating a more efficient burn for your fuel. This is why you can achieve significant increases in gas mileage. You generate free energy by ENHANCING the EFFICIENCY of your poorly designed engine!!! Your car engine currently uses 20% of the energy stored in that expensive fuel - and WASTES 80% for heat, pollution (unburned fuel!) and vibration. HHO gas is very stable and burns incredibly well as a significant power source and the conversion really is simple to set up with the guides that are floating around the internet today, however many people have doubts such as: Is this process safe? Water fuel is safe for your car's engine. Water Fuel (HHO gas) is supplemental to fuel and will actually create a cooler burn that causes less wear and tear on your car's engine. This technology works with all vehicles but it works best with? Water fuel technology works with any kind of gasoline or diesel powered vehicle, however it is geared towards fuel economy, not minimizing power loss. For this reason, vehicles such as giant SUVs and trucks will not see as large of an increase in fuel economy as lighter, less demanding vehicles... In conclusion, water fuel technology does work and can save 40% or more in fuel costs while significantly increasing your vehicles gas mileage. The technology is simple to install and will not adversly affect your engine nor does it void your warranty.
related : http://singhakom.com
: http://newcarhybrid.com

Honda Gets It Right With New Clarity - Sort Of : New Honda Car review

Honda Gets It Right With New Clarity - Sort Of : New Honda Car review
by GARKO
Honda’s new Clarity IS positively motion in the most optimum direction but others have already beaten it to the finish line. It is a saner pollution solution but there is an even better pollution solution. It is an historic milestone from a big player in the car making industry. And for all these positives which I will now share some information on, I applaud it!The mid-size Clarity is expected to (reportedly) return an EPA-confirmed sixty eight MPG. The Clarity also will ace federal safety standards, start in temperatures as low as 22 degrees below zero and survive trips out to Las Vegas (high heat). Refueling is ludicrous as it requires that you have a big and heavy natural gas powered home unit, which, as it runs on natural gas, seems to defeat the whole purpose or that you live near Santa Monica, Torrance or Irvine. For now. However, the per-tank range is 270 miles. The Clarity will be coming to a Honda dealer near you in Summer 2008 (provided that you live in or near one of those three cities), Honda will be happy to lease you a Clarity for “just” $600 a month. The FCX Clarity integrates Honda’s V Flow stack in combination with a new design smaller and powerful lithium ion battery and a single hydrogen storage tank to power the automobile’s electric drive engine. The main source of power is the fuel cell stack. Hydrogen mixes with oxygen from the atmosphere in the fuel cell stack, and energy from the reaction is transformed into electric power which then propels the vehicle. Another energy source is generated through the conservation of kinetic energy from slowing down and braking the vehicle (known as regenerative braking), and that is stored along with surplus energy from the fuel cell in the lithium ion battery pack, and supplements power from the fuel cell, when it is required. The only exhaust from this car is water. The distribution of the new Honda will be for starters only in Southern California. This is because they do not have sufficient hydrogen refueling stations set up yet in other areas which are sufficient for keeping the car running. These stations compare to gas stations, only they are specifically for use by vehicles powered by a fuel cell. Honda is advising potential buyers that they should not plan to drive the vehicle outside of Southern California. It’s a shame that only one hundred Clarity’s will be made available to drivers in the Los Angeles area. But I suppose for those one hundred drivers they will be in a position where the Jones’s ain’t gonna be able to keep up with them!So the question becomes… if you are not one of the fortunate few that a. resides in specific parts of Los Angeles b. have $600/month easily available c. can’t compute the numbers and realize that they will be paying two or three times as much for a car in order to save not more than about $100-200/month on gas. d. Don’t mind driving around with a hydrogen tank in your car. (In fact, mark my words, I am sad to have to look into my crystal ball and project that one of these Clarity vehicles will get involved in an accident that leaves a crater on some Los Angeles freeway and the thought of a hydrogen fueled automobile will be have a lable on it forever like a 1973 Pinto so that the idea will be abandoned). I usually rebuke cynicism but…Ok, so…then what do you do? Well there is a solution that you can install in any engine, even yours, at very minimal cost, using odds and end hardware store items and will make it so your current vehicle will do most of the things that the new Honda Clarity will do but with no inconvenience and without the risk of driving around with a hydrogen “bomb” (storage tank). You can acquire the information right now!If you are unindoctrinated, WATER4GAS is sharing information at a low price which consumers can use in their garage or wherever to put together a small device which infuses hydrogen into the fuel/air mixture that their car or truck runs on. The process makes smaller particles out of the ones that the engine burns as fuel. So the engine gets to use a lot more of the gas. By doing this you can reasonably expect to improve your gas mileage by 12%. But many are obtaining thirty to fifty percent improvement or significantly more. Those particles “musta” been pretty “blankin’” huge in some engines before. But with WATER4GAS they are made usable so you can improve your gas mileage. It also helps to lower emissions significantly. This information has been purchased by over NINE THOUSAND people already and happy members number about 99%! So how about you?
Tags: New Honda Car review 2008, New honda jazz 2008,
: Hybrid cars review, Honda
: RayongHotelGuide.com

Water4Gas dot com-The Future of Alternative Energy is Here : New gas hybrid honda 2008

Water4Gas dot com-The Future of Alternative Energy is Here : New gas honda 2008
by Mark Myers

Water4Gas dot com is the number one site on the internet for personal alternative energy for your automobile. You can now transform your present automobile to use hydrogen from water. This site was made by Ozzie Freedom to guide you step by step through the process. His personal goal is to slow the current energy crisis one automobile at a time. Water4Gas dot com will change how we think about alternative energy for ages.Imagine using water to supplement your gasoline costs by 50%. Thanks to Water4Gas dot com, you can do this with simple tools and materials available from your local hardware store. Rather than struggle to make ends meet with higher than ever energy prices, why not convert your car to run on water. Gas and oil prices have been skyrocketing like crazy for the last two years; it is time to discover alternative energy.
Below are some of the benefits you will get from Water4Gas dot com;
* Protect the environment * Decreased engine temperatures * Longer life expectancy of your motor * Get a tax credit for converting your car to use alternative energy * Engine runs quieter * Less pollution * Increase fuel mileage
How does it work? Hydrogen, the most basic and abundant object in the known universe. This is what makes the Water4Gas dot com system different. Hydrogen is compressed in water and can be easily removed with electricity from the battery in your automobile. It is safe because it only creates hydrogen as it is used, so it is never stored.
You can buy other systems on eBay for more than $1000, or you can make your own in a few hours for under $60 with the help of Water4Gas dot com. You no longer have to wait for your local car dealer to offer alternative energy vehicles; you can use your present vehicle and convert it into a water gas hybrid. Water4Gas dot com will be with you step by step through the entire process. Not only will you get instructions, illustrations, and a video series to help you, but you will be able to contact an entire network of people who have already installed this technology, and are willing to help.
In steps Water4Gas dot com. The authors have created a simple and easy to build gizmo that uses water to supplement the gasoline you already buy. You will obtain all the know-how required to both construct it and install the device for around 60 bucks using simple tools.
Alternative energy still has a long way to go before it reaches every day use. Hybrid vehicles are too expensive to build and maintain than expected. Electric vehicles are constrained by present battery technology. Fuel cells hold the most promise for sustainability, but hydrogen is dangerous to store and transport.
Thousands of these devices have been installed in over 50 countries to date. You will obtain plans to five total devices to help you save gasoline, not all are as simple as the Water4Gas device, but start small saving 30%to 50% and when you are ready change more and save more.
You always have choices in life. You can choose to believe that this could never work, that it is stupid, and choose to do nothing but pay way too much for gas. Or you can take action. Do something proactive. Help change the world. Save gas and money at the same time. Visit Water4Gas dot com, and see what the future can offer today.

: Hybrid cars review, Honda

: hotel rayong

Honda Civic Forums and Honda Forums Offer Great Information : new Honda New Car review 2008

Honda Civic Forums and Honda Forums Offer Great Information
by Kathryn Lang

The Honda Civic is a small car that offers big space. A quick look around the internet will show you that there are thousands of people talking about the big "little car" on Honda forums, Honda Civic forums and other chat rooms at all hours of the day.
The Honda Civic has always been an economically savvy vehicle. When it first came on the market with the slogan "it will get you where you are going" the low price and well-rounded construction of the Civic made it a winner. Many of the Honda forums or the Honda Civic forums have owners from the first introductions up to the latest models. It seems that when people get into a Honda Civic they just don't want to ever get out.
Today the Honda Civic continues to be innovative and economically conscious and their timing couldn't be any better - as many of the comments on Honda Civic forums and other automotive sites will attest to this fact.
As the consumers on the Honda forums and Honda Civic forums have become more aware of the ecology and as conservation is becoming more of a mainstream attitude, Honda Civic provides an answer to many of the rising needs. In recent years, the Honda Civic has raised the bar for going green with the Hybrid and the GX NGV.
The Honda Civic Hybrid combines traditional automobile technology with electric technology to get an estimated 45 mpg. It also offers a lower emissions rating than most vehicles on the road today. Many of the Honda Civic forums have owners that boast of the Hybrid's performance and its comfort.
The Honda Civic GX NGV takes green to the next level. It runs on Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) and offers nearly zero emissions. About the only complaint that I stumbled across on the Honda forums or the Honda Civic forums are that the gas tank capacity is too small.
America has shown a continued love for the Honda Civic, in turn it has consistently been one of the top compact cars in the country. It is a top choice for buyers looking for the best new model and is praised on the many Honda forums and Honda Civic forums for its surprising comfort and power. With its high level of reliability it is also a great choice for used buyers as well.
The Honda Civic will likely continue to help lead the industry with innovations. As it continues to reach for the highest standards, the Honda Civic will also keep its lead in the hearts of its loyal fans.

Survive Record High Gas Prices : New honda gas hybrid 2009

Survive Record High Gas Prices
by Blake Hygate

With gas prices now at record highs in the United States it has become more important than ever for drivers to try to conserve fuel. For years environmentalists have warned that this day would come. Not only is excessive fuel use bad for the environment it is also very costly.
Keeping these two factors in mind, consumers are looking for ways to reduce their fuel consumption. Many have turned to buying small, economical cars as a way to combat rising gas prices. Many US automakers have begun to step up production of small cars which have fuel consumption around 40mpg, which if you drive quite a bit can still be somewhat costly to own. Record high fuel and insurance costs have made it very expensive to own a car of any kind.
So what is the alternative to owning a car? You could move closer to your job and walk, but this may not be feasible. If you work in a downtown location such as Manhattan, rentals and housing prices are very expensive. Another option would be to use public transit. Public transit is great in some cities and other cities have major issues with public transit. Unfortunately given the distance that many drive to work, public transit may be a very slow option. I once interviewed for a position where in order to get to work, I would have to walk a fair distance to the bus stop, ride the bus for 15 minutes to the subway station. Then I would ride the subway for 30 minutes at which point I would exit the subway and get onto another bus. I just could not imagine doing this everyday!
An increasingly popular way to save money on fuel is to purchase a motor scooter. For years the environmental or budget conscious driver have used motor scooters extensively. Not only are they economical, but in recent years have become a trendy transportation option. At almost 100 mpg, they can save literally thousands on fuel costs. The most popular are Vespa scooters or Honda scooters. Some slightly less popular are Suzuki scooters. As of the past few years we have even saw the entrance of a few less expensive models entering the marketplace. Wildfire scooters can be purchased for less than $1000!
If you are in a position where you need to save money on fuel, you should consider the purchase of a motor scooter. Environmental consciousness, budget saving and trendy; Motor scooters are a hot commodity today.

Is a Water4Gas fuel conversion "Enviromentally" superior to biofuels-YES : Cars hybrid review 2009

Is a Water4Gas fuel conversion "Enviromentally" superior to biofuels-YES
by R.Bill Williams
Is a Water4gas fuel conversion Enviromentally superior to biofuel- YESPart 1Electricity production emits greenhouse gasses therefore electric driven cars will indirectly continue to contribute to the greenhouse gasses problem.Nuclear generated electricity is practically carbon free but what's the end result of this type of production? The reality, exchanging carbon free air now for an expired nuclear reactor (life span 25-30 years ) which has to be decommissioned and cocooned away from the public for at least a hundred years - who is going to be around then to find out if a hundred years later it is actually safe. Also decommissioning costs can far exceed the construction cost of a nuclear facility adding billions to the cost of the electricity produced.Hydrogen fuel cars, one of the major problems involved with this fuel is its distribution and storage because it is either liquid or pressurised. This system loses out to electric cars as all you require to keep an electric car running is an extension lead to charge up overnight ( when economy rates apply) but having said that you are then back to square one - having to produce more electricity.Hybrid (electric and petroleum) cars, are on the road at present and there is some good press written about them; however very little is said about the dangers built into these cars.Take the battery for starters (sorry!), most hybrid cars have new type batteries made of nickel and lithium.ion, both components are regarded as more enviromentally friendly than the traditional lead based type, which constitute the majority of car batteries today. Although nickel and lithium.ion batteries are accepted as less toxic than the traditional lead ones they are known carcinogens and can lead to an array of other health problems. Not a great deal of testing hasbeen done on the human body but possible side effects include xencephaly, everted viscera, short and twisted neck, short and twisted limbs, microphthalmia, haaemorage and reduced body size. ( Source:- Teratogenicity and Embryotoxicity of nickel cadmium in Syrian hamsters, William F. Sunderma. Univ. of Connecticut ).A further overhanging problem for the hybrid car is in the manufacture of their advanced electric motors. The rare earth element dysposuim is required in their production, the problem is that nearly all this rare earth element comes from China and Chinese home consumption is expected to take up the whole supply by 2012. There are only two other known sites where this rare earth element can be found, in Canada and Australia, but whether production in these countries willbe sufficient and online by 2012 is questionable. To sum up the above from the point of view of claiming to supplying environmentally friendlyfuels we have:-a)..Nuclear..which admittedly is very near carbon free but the nuclear, potentially dangerous, footprint from each power station will be around for 100 years plus. (If any one of you has ever had the experience of living near a decommissioned nuclear facility as I have you will know thisis what is required.)b)..Hydrogen..at the present time our technology is not sufficient to make this a safe viable option, and should therefore be ruled out.c)..Hybrid..here we have serious problems with the supply of scarce materials for the production of vital components and also medical dangers which could result in serious deformities of the human body following the use of certain raw materials. We already have the answer to our vehicles providing a much cleaner carbon free air via lower gas emissions,. at the same time saving money with much improved m.p.g. in the low-cost Water4Gas fuel conversion system. The Clarity will be coming to a Honda dealer near you in Summer 2008 (provided that you live in or near one of those three cities), Honda will be happy to lease you a Clarity for "just" $600 a month. The FCX Clarity integrates Honda's V Flow stack in combination with a new design smaller and powerful lithium ion battery and a single hydrogen storage tank to power the automobile's electric drive engine. It's a shame that only one hundred Clarity's will be made available to drivers in the Los Angeles area. But I suppose for those one hundred drivers they will be in a position where the Jones's ain't gonna be able to keep up with them!So the question becomes... if you are not one of the fortunate few that a. resides in specific parts of Los Angeles b. have $600/month easily available c. can't compute the numbers and realize that they will be paying two or three times as much for a car in order to save not more than about $100-200/month on gas. d. Don't mind driving around with a hydrogen tank in your car. I usually rebuke cynicism but...Ok, so...then what do you do? Well there is a solution that you can install in any engine, even yours, at very minimal cost, using odds and end hardware store items and will make it so your current vehicle will do most of the things that the new Honda Clarity will do but with no inconvenience and without the risk of driving around with a hydrogen "bomb" (storage tank). Those particles "musta" been pretty "blankin'" huge in some engines before. But with WATER4GAS they are made usable so you can improve your gas mileage. It also helps to lower emissions significantly. This information has been purchased by over NINE THOUSAND people already and happy members number about 99%! So how about you?

Honda link : New Honda CRV 2009

2008 Honda FCX hybrid : New hybrid Honda 2009

2008 Honda FCX hybrid
by bickss

this is hydogen powered clarity fuel cell vehicle which will coming to the US market of southern california in summer 2008. according to the american honda this car can be get for three years lease on $600 per month including maintenance and collison insurance too. according to the honda it has achieves the approximate equivalent of 68 mpg combined fuel economy or about two to three times the fuel economy of a like gas-powered car. While some European markets seem to be slowing down and the U.S. auto sales is hampered by housing problems, Asian countries are increasingly becoming a favorite of car manufacturers. In fact, China and Japan are only next to the United States in terms of auto sales.
Aside from these two countries, another Asian country is fast becoming a hub for car manufacturers. India is now the fourth biggest car market in the Asian continent and car companies are taking notice. Not so long ago, General Motors announced their interest in the growing auto market of the country. Aside from General Motors, the alliance of Nissan and Renault has already started testing the Indian auto market. Following their steps towards the high ranks is the second largest Japanese car manufacturer Honda.
The company announced that they will be manufacturing and selling compact cars in the region by the year 2009. The company's decision to market smaller cars in the country is due to the fact that the three-quarters of all the cars sold in India are compact cars. General Motors, Volkswagen, Nissan, and Renault have also announced that they will be manufacturing small cars for the country. Honda's small cars to be sold in India will be built on a plant to be constructed in Rajasthan. The company reported that they expect to spend $728 million in the construction of the new assembly facility.
Honda's announcement to enter the small car market in India is fueled by the prediction that the country's demand for small cars will continue to increase in the near future. It has been estimated that by the year 2016, annual car sales in India will reach 3 million units. This predicted car sales will be divided by car manufacturers such as Suzuki and Hyundai, both of which have an already established buyer base in the country, as well as other brands like Nissan, Renault, General Motors, Volkswagen, Honda and other domestic and international brands who are willing to invest in India.
Although it is speculated that Honda will be manufacturing small cars, the Japanese car company is yet to name what model they will be producing at the Rajasthan production plant. Upon completion, the assembly facility will be expected to produce 60,000 vehicles annually. By the year 2014, Honda plans to expand the facility and increase its production capacity to 200,000 per year. The facility will handle all the processes handled by a full time automobile assembly plant. Although Honda is yet to announce the full scale of jobs to be handled by the facility it is expected that the brake assembly for vehicles will be one of the tasks of the plant.
To meet the expected production output, the new plant will be employing 4,000 workers. This means that Honda will not only benefit from the growing market in India but they will also be helping the country's economy.

Honda RA107: Off with the "Elephant Ears": New honda 2008 review

Honda RA107: Off with the "Elephant Ears"
by lara
In Barcelona, Spain last week Honda F1 team has tested its new aerodynamic design which was in the form of "elephant ears". The Honda RA107 which was driven by Christian Klien with its protruding elephant ears on its front nose was following the heels on MacLaren's nose-straddling front wing. Unfortunately it seems like the elephant ears are not really meant for racing, the Honda F1 team has set the slowest time of the day. The team has finally decided not to push through with their new aerodynamic design since it has done nothing to enhance the performance of their car. According to Jacky Eeckelaert, engineering director, "The main purpose of our test programme this week was to evaluate different aerodynamic configurations which have been developed in order to improve the braking stability of the car. The braking is definitely better now and the lap times have improved and become more consistent, but there is still a long way to go to bring the team back into contention." Honda, second largest auto seller in Japan and maker of high quality accord body kit, has been working really hard to correct the problems of the new car since the start of the season especially in terms of the car's handling performance. According to some reports the team is currently working round the clock to develop a new car which would be launch hopefully next month in time for the Canadian Grand Prix. Although the test didn't go well for the Honda team it proceeded remarkably for some teams like for instance David Coulthard and Red Bull Racing has been able to grab some attention by posting a new track record with a time of 1:21.066. The quick lap happens during the qualifying simulation wherein the RB3 was running on a minimal amount of fuel just before it hit the circuit. Pedro de la Rosa of the McLaren's was 2-10ths back as he tries to test the new front wing of the team's car which would make its debut at the Spanish Grand Prix in two weeks time. Felipe Massa of the Ferrari team was able to finish with the third fastest time despite a mechanical failure that has interrupted his drive in the morning. And as expected of Ferraris they have finished the week recording the fastest time, three out of the four testing days. Giancarlo Fisichella, the driver for Renault was the fourth quickest with Robert Kubica completing the top five. The driver for Toyota, Ralf Schumacher finishes as the sixth fastest. About Honda Honda Motor Co., Ltd. or Honda for short is a Japanese engineering and engine manufacturer corporation. It is renowned for its automobiles and motorcycles. It has also surpassed Nissan as the second largest distributor of autos in Japan. Honda also manufactures other products that include trucks, robots, scooters, jet engines, and jets, ATV, electric generators, water craft, lawn and garden equipment, marine engines, as well as aeronautical and other various mobile technologies. The high-end line of cars of Honda is sold under the Acura brand for China and North America. And just recently the company has ventured into the domain of mountain bikes and they have produced the first-of-its-kind bike that makes use of an internal gear changing system in the Honda RN-01 G-cross. In addition, Honda is also the world's largest producer of engines, building more than 14 million internal combustion engines each year. It was in the year 2004 when Honda started producing diesel motors that were very silent and does not required the addition of particulate filter to pass the emission standards. Honda has its base in Tokyo. Its shares trade on the New York Stock Exchange, Tokyo Stock Exchange and exchanges in Osaka, Sapporo, Nagoya, Kyoto, London, Switzerland, Paris, and Fukuoka. Using the image of Honda as the provider of the most reliable vehicles, Hyundai has since styled its own reputation for reliability. Hyundai has become a serious competitor in the American car marketplace. In recent years, Hyundai has even begun appearing with Honda in the top ranks of customer satisfaction surveys. Hyundai & Honda seem to be forever intertwined in similarity since Hyundai struck the American marketplace. How has Hyundai done it?
Constant Investment in the Future
From the beginning, Hyundai has had a large budget for innovation and improvement in their products. They find out what customers and non-customers find most dissatisfying about their cars and make planning decisions to attempt to fix their designs so that all of those people will be potential customers in the future.
2006 Hyundai & Honda: The First Real Quality Challenge
In 2006, Hyundai first showed itself to be more than a cheap car rip-off of the Honda brand. The release of the 2006 Hyundai Tiburon to compete with the 2006 Honda Civic sent shocks through the imported automobile industry. The 2006 Hyundai Tiburon cost about $4,000 less than the 2006 Honda Civic, even though the Hyundai Tiburon came standard with more features than the Honda Civic. Additionally, the Hyundai Tiburon had tinted glass, heated exterior mirrors, and performed at 2 MPG better than the Civic.
2007 Hyundai & Honda: Small Car Showdown
In 2007, Hyundai made waves by filling its Elantra full of features at less money than the Civic with only the most basic features. Such features as radio controls in the steering wheel, built-in Bluetooth connectivity, and XM satellite radio options were built into the Elantra. Even more impressive was the way Hyundai & Honda differed in warranty. Hyundai showed so much confidence in its Elantras to provide a five-year, 60,000 mile warranty, while the Civic only had a basic three-year, 36,000 mile warranty. Many also reported increased satisfaction with the new seating comfort and space for back-seat passengers.
4) 2006 Hyundai Tiburon GS vs 2006 Honda Civic Si 6-Spd MT
One of the first glaring differences between the 2006 Hyundai Tiburon and the 2006 Honda Civic is the price tag, where the Tiburon costs about $4,000 less at $16,095. Both vehicles offer access to a standard CD player, yet consumers have the option to also enjoy a cassette player in the Hyundai. While halogen headlights come standard on both cars, the Hyundai provides standard fog lights while Honda only offers this as an extra option. Other features of the Hyundai Tiburon that have impressed buyers include heated exterior mirrors, tinted glass, and 24 MPG (compared to 22 MPG with the Honda).
Overall, Hyundai has made great strides in regards to their overall features, interior, and beyond - making it a viable competitor in the car industry. This has caused automobile leaders (like Honda) to break a sweat.

Strike amazing deals on Honda at our dealership! : New honda new car 2008 review

Strike amazing deals on Honda at our dealership!
by Jimmy Richard
There is no better destination for the most wonderful shopping experience than us for the choicest deals on all of the superb models of Honda. There are several things you should know before you ever step into a car dealer's office or seek out a private owner from the millions of ads available. The first and most important aspect of car buying is having your finances under control. When you are looking for a car there are several possibilities in how you will buy that car. You can have the money for the entire car purchase price, which is very rare for most of us or seek a loan or lease. When you seek a loan there are many things the car dealer as well as the loan company is going to look at. It is all about negotiation. The car dealer is going to look at you for risk and make sure you can handle the loan payments of the car you are interested in. There is also a matter of making sure you are not apart of any scams. There are at least ten known scams car dealerships will use in order to make you buy a car for more money or to refuse you a loan. You have to be armed with all of the pertinent information before you ever go to buy a car.
We have talked about the financial side of things as far as having it under control, but there is so much more to the entire deal. First you will want to have a good idea of the type of car you want to buy. You will want to do as much research online as possible about that car. Find out what the national highway traffic safety administration says about the safety of the car, find out what retail used prices should be according to Kelly Blue Book and other consumer reports. If you know what to expect regarding the car as far as price for new and used as well as what a dealer may ask you will be armed with more information that will help you succeed in purchasing that car for a fair price. You may be interested in a couple of cars and need to test drive them before you can make the ultimate decision. The same thing is going to apply. You need to have as much information about any car you are interested in before you approach a dealer or even a personal sale.
Once you know about the car you need to be armed with your personal data. When you purchase a car with a loan or lease the car dealership is going to run your credit history, ask for references, and check your employment status. You will need to bring with you verification of your identity as well as at least one pay stub. You should also have the reference list with you. As for your credit history they are going to have you fill out a form. However you should know the information they are going to pull up before they access it. So you should have your own copy with you to compare.

Honda And Toyota Dominates South African Auto Market : New Honda New Car review 2008

Honda And Toyota Dominates South African Auto Market
by Anthony Fontanelle

Japanese automakers have been known for their reliable vehicles which have become the favorite of most consumers. This can be clearly seen in the United States auto market where market share of Japanese automakers continue to increase while the Big Three's decline. This trend is not only seen in the United States though as according to J.D. Power and Associates, Honda and Toyota dominated the 2007 South Africa Customer Satisfaction Index.
According to The Auto Channel's report, the two Japanese automakers received top ranks more than any other automaker. For Honda, the Civic, CR-V, FR-V, and the Jazz topped their respective segments. For Toyota, the Avensis, Hilux, the Land Cruiser Prado and the Tazz received the highest rating in their classes. The Customer Satisfaction Index is a study conducted by J.D. Power and Associates to gauge the level of satisfaction of customers regarding the vehicles that they have purchased.
According to The Auto Channel, J.D. Power and Associates, the study focuses on the first 10 to 21 months of ownership. Four factors covering 77 attributes are taken into consideration to gauge the satisfaction of customers. Of the four factors, the highest weight was given to the quality and reliability of vehicles which is given a weight of 32 percent. Aesthetics is second with a weight of 29 percent. Satisfaction of customers is also based on their experiences on the dealership which is given 19 percent. Last but not least is the cost of ownership which corresponds to 20 percent.
Brian Walters, the vice president of J.D. Power and Associates’ Europe, Middle East, and Africa Operations, said that Honda and Toyota are showing their dedication to building quality vehicles. "Honda and Toyota models continue their strong performance in satisfying customers in South Africa," said Walters.
"In both 2006 and 2007, four Toyota models ranked highest in their respective segments, while Honda has led in nameplate rankings in both years. These results are a testament to the commitment to high quality that both brands demonstrate. In addition, Mercedes-Benz maintains its ranking in the top five for a second consecutive year and improves in an impressive manner since 2006," he expressed.
"The consistent improvement in overall satisfaction in the South Africa market is good news for consumers, franchised dealers and manufacturers," continued Walters. "However, there is still significant room for improvement. While customers seem to be more satisfied with vehicle quality and reliability as well as vehicle appeal, service satisfaction and ownership cost satisfaction levels are not on par." Honda is also the manufacturer of Acura vehicles and auto parts such as Acura cargo liners.

The Evolution Of The Honda Accord : New Honda Accord new car 2008 review

The Evolution Of The Honda Accord : New Honda Accord new car 2008 review
by Jim Harris
The first generation Honda Accord was launched in 1976 as a two-door hatchback with 68 horsepower (51 kW), a 93. Honda chose the name Accord, reflecting "Honda's desire for accord and harmony between people, society and the automobile. It has achieved considerable success, especially in the USA, where it was the best-selling Japanese car for 15 years (1982-97), and became the first Japanese-branded vehicle to be manufactured in the US. The Accord became the first Japanese car to be produced in the US in 1982, when production commenced in Marysville, Ohio at Marysville Auto Plant where cars were produced and exported back to Japan. The Honda Accord has been sold in most automotive markets throughout the world. The European Honda Accord, also made in Sweden, became very different from its cousins in terms of styling, and was also shorter than the JDM and USDM Accords. The CarThe Accord was originally planned to be a V6-powered car with a long hood and sporty pretensions. Vastly improved quality control, however, made this one of the most reliable cars on the US market, a position it still holds today. This was one of the first US production cars to feature optic reflectors with completely clear lenses on the headlamps replacing the more conventional sealed beam styled lighting. A little-known fact about the 1998 Accord was that it was assembled in New Zealand at the very end of overall New Zealand CKD car production (due to changes in tariffs for car importation in that country). Now a vastly different car to the worldwide Accord, the North American model grew larger still, gaining more interior room and weight than its international counterpart. The American Accord was only available in sedan and coupe form, becoming the largest Accord to dateThe Next GenerationFor the first time, Honda offered an "enthusiast" version of the Accord in the US, adding a sports suspension and mating the 6-speed manual transmission from the Acura CL to the V6 Honda Accord Coupe. Modernizing both the interior and exterior, the second generation Accord was mechanically very similar to the original, using the same 75 hp (56 kW), 1751 cc EK1 CVCC engine. Honda introduced the Insight, America's first hybrid vehicle still the fuel economy leader, in December 1999. Honda then took hybrid technology into the mainstream with the introduction of the Civic Hybrid in March 2002.The 2006 Honda Accord Hybrid, in only its second model year received a number of improvements including exterior updates to further differentiate the Accord Hybrid from other Accord Models. Honda presented to the world the exciting Accord Tourer Concept and the new generation of Honda diesel engines, i-DTEC at the 2007 Frankfurt motor show. In 2008 the Honda Accord was completely redesigned, boasting more power and passenger space. In real-world use, however, the car's fuel economy was disappointing and people balked at its higher price. In ConclusionIn reviews, it has been found that the latest Honda Accord continues to excel as a family sedan or midsize coupe. Consumers interested in a Honda Accord but limited to a smaller budget could also check out the fourth-generation Accord, which was available starting in 1990. However, the Accord has matured into a larger car now approaching the likes of the Ford Taurus, but is still given "compact" status. Honda sold the North American Accord in a few other markets including Asian (now made in Thailand), Middle Eastern, Caribbean, Australian and New Zealand markets with mixed results. When examined from a holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why this Honda car has become an automotive icon and one of our editors' top recommendations.

: New Honda Accord new car 2008 review new accord honda accord auto accord wallpaper accrod 2008 new release honda accord new model accord 2008 review cars accord new car automotive honda accord 2008

Boom in Indian Automobile Industry

Boom in Indian Automobile Industry
by WebMaster
Today, vehicles are in great demand between all segments of society. That is what Honda Motor Co. radiated when it donated $1 million to the Detroit Symphony Orchestra. The donation will allow more children to participate in the youth training program of DSO.The second largest Japanese car maker’s first major gift to DSO is by far the most sizeable thing it has given to an American arts organization. The donation will be used to fund the Power of Dreams String Project, which will provide introductory music education and string training in Metro Detroit communities where opportunities for children are nonexistent or families could not afford the instruments or lessons, according to the Detroit News. The Honda grant is expected to add 200 beginning string players to DSO classical training programs, which now include about 450 young musicians in five ensembles, the report continued. The grant, which will be divided in equal installments over the next five years, is also aimed to pay for private string lessons for 20 children in grades three through six. What’s more, the grant sets seed money for a Power of Dreams Music Education Fund. DSO solicits public contributions for such fund."This is exactly the kind of partnership we've been looking for to assure the stability of these vital programs long-term," said DSO president and executive director Anne Parsons. "While we are very proud of our educational programs, it's a struggle every year to raise the considerable amount of money needed to keep them going."They "have long been among our major corporate donors" to the DSO's annual fund drive, which in fiscal 2007 generated $3.5 million for all corporate sponsors combined, said DSO press director Jill Woodward. That is nearly a quarter of the orchestra's record total of $14.6 million for the year. "Certainly in the corporate category, the Big Three have a long history of giving. The Max wouldn't be here without them," she added.Honda giving considerable donations in America signals its desire to increase its presence in the territory. This could be the result of the intensifying pressure among the Big 3.The designation of Honda's large DSO gift for training children reflects the company's philanthropic emphasis on both youth and education, said Gary Kessler, the senior vice president for human resources at American Honda Corp. "We're mindful of the benefits to a child from music education," he said."Research shows the relationship between musical studies and personal discipline and effectiveness in all areas of learning. We want to make a difference in lives, and we're excited about a synergy between Honda and the DSO's excellent educational programs."Leonard Slatkin, the DSO's music director designate, said that he expects Honda's collaboration with the DSO to provide "musical opportunities that will make an impact on our young people. The innovative quality of Detroit's initiatives, and my ability to lead in this area, is one of the things that attracted me to the DSO. Together we will be leaders in the field."Like the flexibility of Monroe shocks, the automakers are finding ways to reach out to different organizations to increase industry presence and to help accordingly.

: New honda new car new Auto 2008 review love car lover new car used car sport car classic car Motor Show auto show sexy pretty girl Racing wallpaper buy sale bought sell repair

The Facts About Hybrid Car Emissions and Global Warming : New Honda Hybrid new car review 2008

The Facts About Hybrid Car Emissions and Global Warming
by Alexandria Haber

In recent years, hybrid cars have become increasingly popular. With rising gas prices and greater environmental awareness, consumers are turning to alternative technology. Manufacturers are making significant efforts to design cars that will satisfy all of their customers' demands: low fuel consumption, low cost, low noise pollution, state-of-the-art technology, and environmentally friendly. Enter the hybrid car - not only is it fuel efficient, but its emissions are much lower than conventional cars.
Hybrid TechnologyFar from being a new technology, hybrid technology has been in use for years in the making of locomotives, submarines, and buses. In a similar way, hybrid cars rely on a combination of two powers - electricity and fuel injection.
An idling or stopped hybrid car automatically uses electrical power. Once the car begins to accelerate, it reverts to using the fuel engine. Also most hybrids recharge the batteries automatically by converting the energy during braking. Different models of cars vary in terms of when the electric power is used. For example, the Honda Civic Hybrid uses electric power to assist the gas engine during acceleration or going up hills. Other models run on rechargeable electricity during city driving at low speed but run on gasoline when the car's speed increases such as during highway driving.
Low EmissionHybrid cars emit far lower levels of pollutants in the air than conventional cars, resulting decreased pollution and reduced effects of global warming. Because no two people drive the same way, it is therefore difficult to estimate, but emissions can be reduced from 25% to 90%, when comparing hybrid cars to conventional gas-powered vehicles. Hybrid car emissions also vary depending on the type of car. Some manufacturers add hybrid technology to existing car models while other manufacturers completely redesign cars with low emission and efficiency at the core. In any case, lower toxic fumes are appreciated in our oil-based economies.
Hybrid vs. ElectricMany people associate hybrid cars with electric cars. However, the two are quite different. The hybrid does not need to be plugged into an electrical outlet to recharge. Gas motors switch on automatically when the battery gets low, and proceeds to charge the battery. Therefore, hybrid cars still use gas while electric cars do not.
A Green DesignFuel efficiency in hybrid cars stems from numerous improvements.
Improved aero dynamics
Lower body weight
Smaller, lighter, and less powerful gas enginesReducing weight, especially engine weight, will substantially improve a car's mileage. Hybrid cars were essentially designed for use in the cities, where traffic is a daily occurrence, in order to reduce gas emissions and slow down global warming. What a great way to help save the environment and improve our overall quality of life.
